Two Wisconsin Supreme Court Justices could face an uphill battle at the U.S. Supreme Court for ethics violations committed in 2012. For three years, Wisconsin prosecutors were investigating what was believed to be illegal campaign coordination between Governor Walker and conversative groups.
The 2012 gubernatorial recall election that Walker won was already a hot-button issue for many, and liberals suggest the illegal campain coordination was more proof that dark money made its’ way into Wisconsin politics at the highest levels. In June, the Wisconsin Supreme Court dimissed the case, but Friday, prosecutors signaled their intent to go before the U.S. Supreme Court.
