National big box home improvement retailer Lowe’s has given a $250,000 grant to Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity to repair and rehabilitate more than 25 homes in the city’s Washington Park neighborhood.

Milwaukee Habitat and Lowe’s volunteers will complete the repairs, which will include landscaping, porch repair, and lighting installation, during a day-long event on Wednesday, June 29, called “Rock the Block.”

Milwaukee Habitat will hold two additional “Rock the Block” events over the course of the summer with a goal of making repairs to 60 homes this year.
