Looking for arts related activities in Rhinelander? The Northwoods River News has this to share:
Art is all over in Land O’ Lakes this summer. Land O’ Lakes Arts (LOLA) a non-profit arts organization is hosting many artful events this July.
The public is invited to drop in from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9 and join ceramic artist Rita Kickert at the potters wheel on the LOLA deck.
“Kickert has been making functional pottery for over 15 years now and loves to share what she does with others,” according to a gallery press release. “If you have always wanted to try your hand at playing with clay, this is your chance. Dress for fun mess or cover-ups are provided. This is a free event open to all ages.”
Watch carver Cheryl Campbell of Rhinelander as she uses chain saws to carve intricate details into wood. Campbell will be carving outside in the LOLA parking lot on Saturday, July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. What creature will emerge from the heart of the wood? Only the artist knows. This is a free demonstration.
