The Streets of Old Milwaukee will be transformed with holiday magic.

A part of the original Streets of Old Milwaukee design in 1965, the General Store has been renovated to allow guests to go inside and take a peek at the products for the first time ever.

Take a walk through the Streets of Old Milwaukee with the Milwaukee Public Museum. You’ll discover shops representing the era just prior to the 1800s to World War I. But for the holiday season, museum guests will enjoy holiday cheer and delight; as The Streets will be transformed into an interactive holiday wonderland, called Deck The Streets of Old Milwaukee.

Beginning Nov. 19, visitors to the exhibit will be thrust into a world of holiday magic. Deck The Streets allows visitors to escape into a season of holiday favorites; including everything from visions of sugar plums, to gathering presents at the General Store.

If you exit The Streets, the holiday magic continues throughout the entire museum. European Village will have a Hanukkah celebration at the Jewish House and Christmas will be celebrated in the courtyard.

Carolers from the Milwaukee Rep and students from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music will serenade as you create your own holiday postcard. Another special feature for the holiday season at MPM is the holiday edition of Wisconsin Stargazing at the Dome Theater.
