MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Fire and Police Commission is currently accepting applications for police officers and community service officers.
An information session will be held today, Tuesday, March 7, from Noon – 4 pm at the City Hall Rotunda, 200 E. Wells St.
According to a press release from the Fire and Police Commission, police officers preserve public peace, protect life and property, work within the community to prevent crime and enforce ordinances of the City of Milwaukee and the laws of the State of Wisconsin.
Applications for police officers will be accepted online until March 31, 2017. The current annual starting salary is $57,291 (upon academy graduation).
Community Service Officers are civilian employees who support basic police operations by performing a variety of duties that do not require the attention of sworn personnel.
Applications for Community Service Officers will be accepted online until March 10, 2017. The current annual starting salary for Milwaukee residents is $39,518.
