WAUKESHA – Every girl dreams of having the perfect prom date, but for Longtime Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Ava Tarintino, that dream may come to a halt. She made a bet on Twitter, that Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell would be her prom date if she received over 600 re-tweets on her post from March 11.
Well to date, her tweet has received over 2,000 retweets and more than 1,000 “likes.”
Bell responded to Tarintino’s tweet that same day and said, “welllll, a deal is a deal….see youu at your prom.”
But Tarintino’s school, Waukesha West High School is using district policy to block the 25-year-old celebrity-athlete from attending prom with the girl.
According to Waukesha Now
Waukesha School District issued a statement early Tuesday that read, “The West High School Administration had no knowledge prior to the local media story.
For the safety and appropriateness of student guests at prom, high schools in the School District of Waukesha have an age limit of under 20 years old. This rule has been in place for decades with no exceptions. Administrators are currently reviewing this request before responding.”
