RACINE- The joint meeting of the Racine City Council’s Committee of the Whole and Redevelopment Authority scheduled for tonight will not include any financial details on the arena project. Although tonight’s meeting will include several hours’ worth of information, finances are scheduled to be discussed next week, on the 27th.

Patrick Leary at the Racine Journal Times reports:

While tonight’s joint meeting of the Racine City Council’s Committee of the Whole and Redevelopment Authority meeting is scheduled to feature extensive details about the event center/arena project, no specifics on the project’s finances are set to be discussed.

According to City Development Director Amy Connolly, financial details won’t be fully discussed until the second joint meeting of the bodies at 6:30 p.m. on June 27. Tonight’s 5 p.m. meeting is to feature the results of the city’s comprehensive feasibility analysis, including traffic and parking breakdowns, as well as the presentation of floor plans and renderings.

“This is a really complex project,” Connolly said Monday. “It will take us a full four hours to present it.”
